| Toxic! Irritant! Effects of overexposure. Acute and chronic: Material is irritating to mucous membrane and upper respiratory tract. May cause allergic respiratory and skin reaction. Repeated exposure can cause : asthma, lung irritation, benign pneumoconiosis, coughing, chest pains, difficulty in beathing. Damage to liver, neurotoxic effects, gastrintestinal disturbances,stomach pains, vomiting and diarrhea. Nausea , dizziness and headache. Causes a fall in blood pressure. Convulsions and cyanosis. Target organs: Lungs, heart, nerves, blood, liver, thyroid. Persons with pre-existing disorders may be more susceptible. |
